Locally Owned Hotels Offer Better Bargains

Companies traveling to New York for conferences and meetings are more likely to find better hotel bargains from locally owned and managed properties, according to Business Travel News. Smaller hotel groups are reaching out for new business in the weak economy, and allowing for more price negotiations than the big, nationwide chains. Some of the locally owned hotel groups making inroads into the city's competitive lodging market include: Manhattan East Suite Hotels, Apple Core Hotels, Boutique Hotel Group, Empire Hotel Group and Triumph Hospitality.
