New York’s biggest benefit is getting a new event producer. Event Resources has produced the Robin Hood Foundation’s annual spring fund-raiser—which filled a space in the Javits Center with 3,600 guests and a concert with Rod Stewart and Al Green in 2004, raising $25.7 million—for six years. But this year, Robin Hood has brought in Clear Channel to handle production for the May 25 event. “We remain extremely satisfied with Event Resources’ production work,” Laurie Fabiano, Robin Hood’s director of marketing, communications, and events, told us in an email last week. “Our switch to Clear Channel was fueled by the economies of scale advantage that working with Clear Channel can sometimes bring.” Event Resources is still handling production for a smaller Robin Hood benefit on March 15 at Crobar with a performance by the Counting Crows.
