We stopped by the press preview of Great Performances’ spring menu at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola inside the Jazz at Lincoln Center spaces in the Time Warner Center on Monday night. A few favorites: The tasty fried avocado wedges seemed like an idea someone should have thought of long ago, and the gumbo pleased even our Gulf Coast-raised companion. And watching a group of Julliard jazz instructors play in front of the intimate venue’s giant window as night fell on Central Park was a terrific way to spend a spring evening. Can we suggest this spot as a great place to entertain a group—summer associates, say—in the coming months?
