Serving a combination of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines, Kion Dining Lounge, a bilevel East Village restaurant and lounge, opened in October. Mixing flagstone walls with fiber-optic lighting, wood furniture, and earthy colors, the venue has a sushi bar and two private dining areas on the lower level, and a bar and main dining room (overlooking the lower level’s raw bar) at street level. The entire space can be booked for private events and holds 175 for receptions. —Anna Sekula
