This Week: Antiques, Models, and Choppers

Today Martha Stewart is honored with the American Spirit award, prior to the preview party for the American Antiques Show this evening. The fund-raiser benefits the American Folk Art Museum and is held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The fair opens to the public Thursday and continues through Sunday. Tonight online gambling and entertainment company Bodog.com launches its online poker interface with a party at the Rainbow Room that includes a performance by Busta Rhymes. And downtown, Ford Models hosts its Supermodel of the World event at Skylight. Park City, Utah, warms up as the Sundance Film Festival begins Thursday and closes January 29.

Thursday is high society time as the Winter Antiques Show kicks off with its opening night party; the expo runs through January 29 at the Seventh Regiment Armory. And earlier Thursday, the New York Building Congress holds its annual membership meeting at Cipriani Wall Street. On Friday the New York International Motorcycle Show roars into the Javits Center; it continues through Sunday. On Monday, Winter Restaurant Week begins, with participating restaurants offering special menus through next Friday and again from January 30 to February 3. Also Monday, the Manhattan Theatre Club presents its winter benefit, An Intimate Night, at the Rainbow Room.
