John Mautone and Michael Waterhouse, the owners of the sleek steak house Dylan Prime, opened Devin Tavern, a more casual 10,000-square-foot eatery in TriBeCa, last week. Architect Chris Smith of CMS Design designed the warm and inviting space, which features brick arches, two fireplaces, antique woodwork, bronze candelabra, rust-red leather banquettes, and a wine room. Adjacent to the 120-seat main dining room is a 20-seat private room with an ornate chandelier and a handcrafted fresco. A second, larger private room with its own bar, a projection television, and audiovisual equipment is downstairs; it seats 35 or 60 holds for receptions. —Stacy Barron
