Union Square Theater Open for Events

The Daryl Roth Theatre, just east of Union Square in the landmark building that originally housed the Union Square Savings Bank—and showcased De La Guarda for years—is available for events from now until its next production loads in this October. Bookings after that date must be scheduled between productions. (You have poor ticket sales for Sandra Bernhard’s most recent show there to thank for this block of availability.) The 3,600-square-foot venue has 40-foot ceilings, seats 299 or holds 499 for receptions, and also offers DR2, a second theater with 99 seats next door. The newly renovated D-Lounge beneath the main theater offers space for 75 seated or 150 for receptions.
