Last week Yann de Rochefort (co-owner of popular Lower East Side restaurant Suba) opened Boqueria, a Spanish eatery named for Barcelona’s famous food market. Designed by Meyer Davis Studio, the venue is dressed in warm honey and cream tones and has tile walls, ceilings inset with burlap-covered panels, and counter-height tables with dark brown leather seats. Boqueria’s 1,800-square-foot space has a 65-seat dining room, a 20-seat tapas bar, and a 16-foot communal table. On the menu is seasonal fare from executive chef Seamus Mullen. —Anna Sekula
