At the majority of holiday gatherings, the most athletic things get is some enthusiastic dance moves. But at the December 5 Polo Ralph Lauren “Holiday Event”—that’s what they call it—ice-skating was on tap at Central Park’s Wollman Rink. We know it’s part of the brand and all, but must these people be active all the time?
Maybe it’s just us, but the inevitable (at least for some) combination of alcohol and ice-skating seems, um, potentially hazardous. No doubt Polo had everything under control, but we’re just saying. To be fair, the email invite did specify, “Non-skating activities will be available.” Like a regatta in the reservoir?
