Dance, music, theater, and opera from around the world come to the Lincoln Center Festival, which opens today. The lineup includes the Ballet National de Marseille’s Metapolis II (from July 25 to 27), an innovative look at the contemporary city conceived by choreographer Frédéric Flamand and Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. Also, check out the large-scale outdoor video installation by director David Michalek, which depicts dancers in super slow motion across the facade of the New York State Theater. (The work is on view throughout the course of the festival.)
