Add another property to the current slew of development projects in the city: The Observer reports today that the New Yorker Hotel will get a $65 million face-lift, which is scheduled to be completed by August 2008. According to the hotel's press release published in the article, the "goal is to keep pace with the tremendous development taking place on the West Side with new hotel construction and the expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center." With that in mind, upgrades include revitalizing the decor inside and out, installing a new heating and cooling system, and improving the free Wi-Fi service.
