It seems Donald Trump can't catch a break. Yesterday, Newsday reported that the real estate mogul is having some issues with the state parks officials regarding the size of the signage on his soon-to-be-built event facility in Jones Beach. Apparently, the conceptual renderings sent to the press in August angered the officials, as they didn't match the dimensions previously agreed upon.
Regardless of these quibbles, the development should be a positive one for planners: Trump on the Ocean, as it's called, will be a 75,000-square-foot property inside Jones Beach State Park in Nassau County on Long Island. In partnership with Steven Carl (owner of Carlyle on the Green), Trump is currently constructing this banquet hall, lounge, and restaurant for private events and plans to open the oceanfront venue in summer 2009.
