* INCOMING *

1. SNOWY SUPER BOWL?: The NFL unveiled the logo for the 2014 Super Bowl co-hosted by New York and New Jersey Tuesday. The blue and white design has a snowflake in the middle. The Wall Street Journal: “The game at MetLife Stadium will be the first outdoor Super Bowl in a cold-weather venue. Although the lowest Super Bowl kickoff temperature has been 39 degrees, average February temperatures at East Rutherford, N.J., are 24 to 40 degrees.”

Another likely record-breaker: "I expect our ticket prices will probably be the most expensive ticket prices of any Super Bowl that's been held," host committee chief executive Al Kelly said, "but I think that's a decision that sits with the NFL, and it's a decision that hasn't been made yet." (This year’s tickets were $600 and $1,200.)

22 businesses have signed on as sponsors and will pay a minimum $1 million each. Among them: Goldman Sachs & Company, The New York Times Company, PepsiCo Beverages Americas, BNY Mellon, BlackRock; and Tiffany & Company.

2. LINKEDIN'S “FOLLOW” FEATURE: The site announced plans to emphasize its “Follow Company” option. AdWeek: "Attracting followers now, while the feature is still relatively new, will cost much less than courting them down the road, when brands might have to lure them away from rival companies they’ve already decided to follow. While Twitter and Facebook both offer advertisers similar (and arguably better known) follower features… With a global membership of well-educated, more affluent professionals, and a business-first context… LinkedIn is a better place for companies to reach consumers with messages around financial services, business travel, and other similar topics."

* ABOUT LAST NIGHT *

Creative Edge Parties hosted a seven-course tasting dinner as part of the Creative Edge Culinary Council, a guest-chef exchange program that invites an international chef to visit the caterer's kitchen and share ideas with the staff. Owner Carla Ruben launched the program earlier this year. For this go-round, chef Rafa Pena, of Gresca in Barcelona, brought along his friend Johan Jureskog from Sweden. Favorite course: A tie between the trout with horseradish and lemon butter, and the red fruit sorbet with Mediterranean herbs. But opinions varied; this was ambitious stuff more likely to inspire than be replicated exactly on event menus. Best idea to steal: Serving grilled bone marrow from a giant bone cut length-wise to start.
