Kenneth Cole launched his new Kenneth Cole Collection line at the Cedar Lake Center with a dark, moody preview produced by Dizon Inc. on Tuesday, March 27. Giant screens showing videos of larger-than-life models lined the walls, with targeted speakers overhead, so guests could hear the models offer deadpan axioms with considerably less humor than Cole’s punny ads. The rest of the room was all black fixtures and furnishings, with a spot-lit row of samples hanging in the center of room—although most fashion editors were talking, not fingering the clothes.
