1. CONAN HEADS TO WASHINGTON: Conan O'Brien will host the White House Correspondents' Association dinner this year. It will be O'Brien's second time as M.C., having hosted in 1995 when Bill Clinton was in office. Fox's Ed Henry made the announcement yesterday via Twitter, and O'Brien also tweeted about the gig: "Get ready for two minutes of jokes, then 40 minutes on public employee pension reform." Rolling Stone: http://rol.st/11VCMyT

2. OSCAR INFAMY: Just how did the infamous Rob Lowe-Snow White duet come together at the Oscars 24 years ago? The Hollywood Reporter finally has the scoop on the performance that many see as one of the show's lowest moments and an interview with Eileen Bowman, the aspiring actress who played Snow White. It also notes that the man behind it all—Allan Carr, "a bombastic Hollywood oddball famed for wearing caftans and hosting debauched parties at his disco-equipped house in Benedict Canyon"—never worked in Hollywood again. http://bit.ly/YAw4Yx

3. VENUE NIGHTMARE: The Connecticut Science Center kicked out a group of Wesleyan University seniors just a few hours into an event after reports the students had vomited on a staircase, had sex and did drugs in the bathrooms, and climbed on a dinosaur exhibit. WTNH: http://bit.ly/15xwxAb

4. GEM OF A SHOW: The New York Times takes readers inside the annual Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase. "The name scarcely hints at the scope of an event that takes over Tucson each winter—43 shows in 41 locations, including hotels, motels, dusty parking lots, the city’s big convention center, and tent cities set up by frontage road along Interstate 10. … Hardly a jeweler at work—from industrial Goliaths like Tiffany & Company and Bulgari to fashionable artisans like Mr. Pedrini, Ted Muehling, Susan Reinstein, and Brian Ross of Reinstein Ross, or Ramji Bharany of the century-old Bharany’s in New Delhi—has skipped a visit to Tucson." http://nyti.ms/Wcdhl5
