Chief Executive magazine feted its latest Chief Executive of the Year, John Chambers of Cisco Systems Inc., with a gala affair held at the New York Stock Exchange. Partygoers got the chance to mingle on the floor of the exchange and to enjoy a dinner prepared by chef Richard Egan of the exchange's Luncheon Club. Estee Lauder Inc. provided gifts on every table--gold compacts containing pressed powder for the women, and cologne for the men.
