Legendary socialite Brooke Astor co-hosted a private cocktail reception with Geoffrey Beene, Arie Kopleman and Oscar de la Renta to celebrate the 40th anniversary of La Caravelle. High-profile guests including Ivana Trump, Nina Griscom and Dominick Dunne were on hand to enjoy some of the establishment's well-known dishes and signature wines.
Helena Lehane covered the ceiling in peach balloons and designed large bouquets brimming with peach roses. As an added touch, the restaurant's mirrors featured its logo and the number 40 written with Chanel's "Rouge" lipstick.
