The 3,000 teenage girls couldn't stop screaming at Seventeen magazine's New Star Designer Showcase, held at Roseland Ballroom. The event featured performances by Pink, Daniel Ren? and boy band Youngstown; a fashion show; and appearances by ABC soap opera hunks Josh Duhamel, David Fumero and Jacob Young.
The evening dragged a bit due to odd gaps between performers, which were filled with music played by Z100's Paul "Cubby" Bryant. But two special guests helped pick things up a bit--Whitney Houston introduced Sunday, a group she manages, followed by Sean "Puffy" Combs, who introduced his group, Dream.
Upstairs on the V.I.P. balcony, the adult guests (mostly advertisers) were treated to a full bar, caviar and individual cups of cr?me br?l?e by Mood Food. On the main level the teens got bags of popcorn and bottles of Evian supplied by three bartender-models, plus hair makeovers by Redken and beauty makeovers by Revlon. The teens didn't get the booze or the better food, but they could hear the concert better, due to the superior sound quality on Roseland's main level.
