Young dot-commers may have lost some of their sex appeal lately, but that didn't stop Crain's New York Business from toasting a group of business people selected for its "40 Under 40" special issue. The newspaper held a cocktail party at Astra, the swank special event space of Aureole's Charlie Palmer on the 14th floor of the D&D Building.
This was a pretty typical cocktail party, with lots of young professionals mingling and chatting. When it was time to officially toast the honored guests, Greg David, the paper's editor, told them they were the best looking group of 40 the paper had ever selected--but not the youngest. And Alair Townsend, the paper's publisher, gave her congratulations and presented them with clippings of their stories from the paper.
