Volvo's Giant Safety Pin

For Volvo's 75th anniversary party at Times Square Studios, Jennifer Brunetti of FBI Productions coordinated the placement of a giant safety pin bent into the shape of Volvo's new XC90 SUV (to emphasize the company's dedication to safety) on Military Island, the concrete island between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Designed and built by Volvo, the pin breaks down into smaller pieces and required a 40-ton crane to erect it. Elliott Winick secured all of the permits needed for the placement of the prop and blocking off part of Broadway for a few hours.
