This week's roundup includes model volleyball in the Hamptons, a Bachelorette-inspired apartment in New York, Olympics-branded hand-clappers in Washington, and kitschy pink flamingo floral arrangements in Los Angeles.

The volleyball tournament, which pits models from agencies on teams to compete in a volleyball match, traveled to a private residence in the Hamptons on August 6. Sportswear company LVE created custom uniforms for model agency teams, and event sponsors included Heineken Light, Essentia, and Inca Kola. The Miami-originated event was founded and produced by Olivia Ormos and Michael Malone.

Comcast and the Brazilian Embassy hosted a private viewing party for the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics on August 5 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Produced and designed by Dufour & Company, the event showcased a moving projection and gobs from Quince Imaging on the exterior of the museum.Â

Guests received Olympics-branded hand-clappers to use when the U.S. delegation of athletes entered the opening ceremony, which was broadcast on a 40-by-22-foot projection screen.Â

Servers wore yellow and green, two of the colors of the Brazilian flag, on T-shirts with "Brasil" written on them. Meanwhile, Brazilian chocolate truffles known as brigadeiro were set in red, white, and blue wrappers. Wolfgang Puck Catering serviced the event.Â

The Watermill Center's 23rd annual benefit took place July 30 in the Hamptons. Located on the graveled west terrace was the Bruce High Quality Foundation's towering, 35-foot inflatable MIG fighter jet. The installation, called "A Smack and Then Nothing," was meant to project a sense of breathing despite being nose down, frozen in a point of contact into the earth. Surrounding the inflatable were performers on six high-backed platforms.

Fox's Teen Choice Awards took place at the Forum in Los Angeles on July 31. Produced and designed by YourBash, the arrivals V.I.P. tent offered a kitschy Palm Beach vibe. Objects included decorated pink flamingos added visual interest to tabletop floral arrangements.

The tent featured a white bar with a branded surfboard motif.

For a Rio Olympics-theme cachaça cocktail idea, Nandini Khaund, bar manager at Cindy’s at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, created the “Reanimator.” The drink is made with Avuá Prata cachaça, lime, blueberry-ginger demerara, and activated charcoal.Â

Wedding Paper Divas and event planner Mindy Weiss hosted a season-finale viewing party of The Bachelorette on August 1 at Weiss' New York City apartment. The door was printed with the words "Fantasy Suite," to evoke the portion of the show each season when couples have a chance to spend a private night together.Â

A throw pillow topped an eye-catching purple seating cushion. Printing that said, "Here for the right reasons" recalled a frequently repeated saying on the show.Â
