First Ever 3-D Film Festival Held in Central Florida

The inaugural 3-D Film Festival opened on Friday, with the first of two weekends of events in Orlando. Throughout the past weekend, animated films, music videos, clips from movies converted into three dimensions, and films that were created in 3-D were all on display.

The festival featured three films: the animated Fly Me to the Moon; 3ology, a compilation of animated, music video, and live-action film clips; and Scar, the first 3-D horror movie. All screenings took place at AMC Theaters at Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island.

At the 3-D Film & Interactive Lounge, sponsored by Dream Factory Studio, guests could check out 3-D HDTV displays and video games including BrainPaint, which generates images from your brain onto a screen by way of electric impulse detectors attached to your head.

Check back next week for this weekend's event coverage as the festival travels to Coca Beach and Florida's Space Coast.
