Here's a look at Orlando/Central Florida's new spaces open for events this spring. The new and renovated Orlando/Central Florida venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.
A note regarding COVID-19: At BizBash, we're still committed to bringing you ideas and inspiration for when (yes, when!) events are back up and running. Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to the pandemic, or they may be operating at a lower capacity.
Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown

Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown officially opened in February, offering 230 guest rooms and amenities such as a fitness room, bar and restaurant. The property offers four event spaces, three of which are indoors and one (the Elevar Terrace, pictured here) outdoors. The largest event space is the Waycross room at 2,299 square feet. The room can be split into two, accommodating as many as 140 guests in one side and as many as 136 in the second. The hotel also offers an "Office for the Day" program, which allows professionals to enjoy a private guest room from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to take a break from their usual work-from-home environment.

Hyatt House Tampa Downtown

Adjacent to its Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown sister property, Hyatt House Tampa Downtown is home to 115 guest rooms and offers extended-stay bookings that are ideal for international business travelers. Kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas help guests maintain a work-life balance when on the road for meetings and events. The property features more than 3,600 square feet of meeting and event space, and each event held on-site can be catered by the culinary team at Hyatt House. (Menus can be constructed based on dietary restrictions.) Smaller meetings and events can be planned within the Sanford room (pictured here), a standalone space that can host anywhere from 20 to 90 guests.

AC Hotel Orlando Downtown

AC Hotel Orlando Downtown by Marriott opened its doors in Orlando at the beginning of 2021. The hotel stands as the tallest in the downtown area and has 180 rooms, three meeting spaces over 2,000 square feet and amenities such as a fitness center and coffee shop. The hotel also offers a variety of event and business technology, including audiovisual equipment, an LCD panel and projector, a portable PA system and more. Meeting spaces can be set up to accommodate a variety of floor plans, including reception style, classroom, conference or theater style.

Brick & Spoon

Brick & Spoon recently opened a new location of the Lafayette, La.-based restaurant known for its Southern fare. The Orlando location was opened by Kentrail Davis, a former MLB player for the Milwaukee Brewers, and offers a variety of breakfast foods with a Southern flair. The restaurant is situated in a 3,698-square-foot corner commercial spot and is available for private events. Brick & Spoon also features a build-your-own Bloody Mary Bar experience (shown here) for private gatherings that includes 12 different vodkas, 17 veggies, seven seasonings and nine meats and cheeses. Bonus: Guests can opt to take home one of the restaurant's own branded bottles of Bloody Mary mix and hot sauce.

Aloft Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The Aloft Orlando Lake Buena Vista opened its doors in February in the heart of Orlando. Standing at six floors with a total of 141 rooms, the hotel offers a fitness center and pool on-site and is just minutes away from entertainment attractions such as Disney World, Universal Studios and more. The hotel is equipped with 775 square feet of meeting space and can hold as many as 86 guests theater style and 78 reception style. Group rates are available when booking a block of hotel rooms for your meeting or event, plus the meeting space (the Tactic Room) is equipped with high-powered audiovisual equipment for presentations.
