Alain Ducasse's new Midtown eatery Benoit opens today in the space that once housed La Côte Basque. In addition to the 102-seat main dining room and a 31-seat bar, the venue has a 60-seat private room—which can be divided into three separate areas—on the second level. (The private rooms are still being tweaked; once those are finished, we'll post a full Walkthrough.)
Also opening this week is Wildwood Barbeque, B.R. Guest Restaurants' replacement for Barça 18. Scheduled to debut on Thursday, the 222-seat Park Avenue South spot joins other meat-focused joints in the area, including Primehouse and Hill Country.
