When it comes to music, readers have been keeping it cheap lately. More than half of the participants in last week's poll said they made an iPod playlist the last time they needed music for a cocktail party. As for those who brought in outside help, 29 percent went for a less expensive DJ and just 14 percent booked a booked a big name.
