To celebrate its 110th anniversary, Montblanc hosted a black-tie gala at the Rainbow Room that saw the iconic venue turned into a mini-retrospective of the German brand's six main categories—inspired by the six winged glaciers of its star emblem.

Montblanc brand ambassador Hugh Jackman posed for photographs and helped film a special Montblanc tribute video in the Gallery space. Behind him was a photographic timeline showcasing the brand's 110-year history.

As is the tradition at all global Montblanc events, a large Montblanc journal was displayed on an easel adjacent to the step-and-repeat during cocktails for guests to sign and send wishes to the brand. It also served as an organic photo op to capture V.I.P.s using Montblanc writing instruments.

Guests could also deliver a high-tech message to Montblanc via a digital screen, which then displayed their hand-written messages on a dedicated video wall.

The video wall came to life in the Rainbow Room, framed in red and surrounded by images of celebrities and society icons wearing Montblanc jewelry.

Creating a decidedly residential feel, the color scheme of the red walls accented with black furniture displays was directly inspired by Montblanc's Rouge et Noir writing instrument collection, which was reintroduced that night as part of the anniversary collection.

Following cocktails and exhibition viewing, guests were ushered into the Rainbow Room's adjacent SixtyFive restaurant for a seated dinner. There, three long tables lined with red rose centerpieces offered 180-degree views of the New York skyline. Each of the dinner tables was sub-divided using designated placards that were inspired by the world of Montblanc travels.

The elegant black table settings featured calligraphed dinner menus personalized for the special occasion, which served as a keepsake for the evening.
