Little Black Dress Benefit Pop-Up to Launch in L.A. Before Hitting the Road

A new pop-up is coming to town, and this one will have a philanthropic bent. The Little Black Dress brand will launch a temporary space on September 16 at the Sunset (Sunset Boulevard at the corner of Alta Loma Road in West Hollywood), offering fashion and home decor items, plus nightly events until October 12. Local charities to benefit from 20 percent of sales include the Elijah Kelley Foundation Fund, the Saban Free Clinic, Junior League, and Dress for Success. After L.A., the shop goes on the road to Chicago and New York in 2009.

Floral designer Krislyn Komarov will collaborate with Little Black Dress founder Emmy Cortes Kasten to transform the space with fresh and permanent designs, which will also be for sale. Home-design specialists Interior Illusions will use its furniture to stage the space. DayNa Decker will create a fragrance area, where a limited-edition collection adorned with gold Swarovski crystals will be exclusively sold. Preferred Group will offer concierge services.

The space will host weekly art exhibitions on Wednesdays, fashion film screenings and beauty and salon services on Thursdays, and yoga classes and wine tastings on Fridays. Saturday afternoons will feature fashion-centric events targeted to kids. Evolutionary Media Group is handling PR.
