



A series of events drew more than 6,000 people to the National YoungArts Foundation campus during Art Basel. Programming included the YoungArts and III Points Presents Art Basel Miami Beach music series with artists such as FKA Twigs and James Blake; the gatherings took place in a tent on the YoungArts Campus.

The Teepee Project, featuring two 22-foot hand-painted teepees by artists Jen Stark and Misaki Kawai, were on display at Mondrian South Beach from December 2 to 14. The hotel launched the project with a dinner party on the property.


In Los Angeles, the Museum of Contemporary Art hosted its big celebration on March 29. Held at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, the event had tables that paid homage to presenting sponsor Louis Vuitton. Guests dined at glass tables laser-cut with the French brand's signature flowers. Tables were also dressed up with white orchids, hydrangeas, and lilacs.

Orange County-based investment banking company Roth Capital Partners hosted its 26th annual Orange County conference March 9 to 12 at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. The event had a country theme inspired by headline act Florida Georgia Line, and colorful throw pillows topped hay bale seating.




The 20th annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball was held November 1 at the downtown hotel and had a Wizard of Oz theme. Guests entered the main ballroom for dinner through an arched tunnel with 180-degree projection mapping and sound to evoke a tornado. Deco Productions designed and produced the event.

The nonprofit arts organization Performa celebrated its 10th anniversary with a Renaissance-theme gala in Brooklyn on November 4. "Death of the Rubber Chicken," conceived by artist Jennifer Rubell, served as the opening act for the interactive dinner. Guests were encouraged to swat the suspended rubber chickens, which were filled with smoked paprika, in order to dust the table lined with deviled eggs below.

Airstage, a Stuttgart, Germany-based company is known for constructing and flying cars at auto shows around the world. During an international trade show, a life-size backhoe loader floated and flew over the stage at a product launch event for Komatsu, a Japanese manufacturer of construction equipment.

The party space was built as a three-dimensional western town and showcased a wall with projections of western scenery.
