The fashion and publishing worlds collided for a night to celebrate the publication of Melissa de la Cruz's new book, Cat's Meow, at Eugene. The event was held in one of the swank, art deco-style bar's private rooms, where the party's fashionable guests comfortably ensconced themselves in white banquettes set behind shining black tables. The room's recessed lighting was very appropriate--it was bombshell pink, befitting of the fashionista protagonist in the book.
De la Cruz, the senior fashion editor at Hintmag.com, and the book's illustrator Kim DeMarco were on hand for the celebration, which was also co-named Cat McAllister's 4th Annual 25th Birthday Party in honor of the novel's heroine.
