The Risk Management Council of Canada’s 10th annual gala featured a casino theme. Naturally enough, images of gambling dice abounded—on boutonnières passed to arriving guests, in the form of an ice sculpture from IceFX, and on the charity gambling tables. Red Events planned the party, which was held at Next Level in the Docks Entertainment Complex. The IceFX ice sculpture of a large die, located at the entrance, incorporated test-tube shooters placed in holes at the top. . The casino tables were interspersed with lounge settings from Furnishings by Corey consisting of white seating, white coffee tables with ornate centerpieces, and white shag rugs. A table full of fresh seasonal fruits, for dipping in the chocolate fountains, provided added colour. Other decorations included white Las Vegas-style feathery palm trees atop black-clad cocktail tables.
