Gone are the days of Hollywood’s Spider Club; its replacement, Bardot Hollywood, took over the well-known location and fully opens this month after a soft launch. Playing on an old-Hollywood theme, Bardot attempts to channel the town’s roaring '20s. Nightlife veterans John Lyons and Steve Adelman have joined forces with Jason Scoppa and Alexi Yulish to open the new space.
On the second floor of the Avalon theater building, Bardot offers three spaces in which to gather for events, allowing a total capacity of 350. The lounge features tufted banquettes against dimly lit golden walls. The courtyard has dark gray wood flooring and a rich cordovan color brushed on the walls. And the Tent Room contains textiles, sconces, and chandeliers for an intimate vibe. Events can book the spaces individually or together.
The menu created by Jared Simons features small plates with contemporary flavors such as seared sea scallops with celery root mousse, celery choucroute and mint; and baked and braised beef brisket with carrots, white chocolate, and shiitake mushrooms.
