Get ready for autumn galas, meetings, cocktail parties, and more: Here’s a preview of the latest ideas for rentals, teambuilding activities, and decor in San Francisco.

BloomThat delivers flowers wrapped in recycled burlap across the city by way of bike messengers—in just 90 minutes from the time the order is made. The team can handle multiple arrangements for decorating an in-office event or meeting for example, and the company has just brought on an additional team member to head up larger events. Currently, BloomThat does bulk orders as large as 10 bouquets at a time (with a bit more lead time). "We're seeing a lot of companies use us for client, customer, and employee appreciation," says BloomThat's David Bladow. "It makes a pretty amazing impact to leave a meeting with a client and have flowers delivered to them a few minutes later."

The new Exploratorium recently reopened with 330,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor space in the Embarcadero. After an off-site meeting and catered lunch at the waterfront venue, groups can check out the exhibits or take a trip through the Tactile Dome, slated to open in the fall, an interactive experience through total darkness where visitors must rely completely on their sense of touch.
