Mike's Amazing Cakes owner Mike McCarey spends his days shaping cakes into chickens, cartoon characters, nutcrackers, houses, cars--whatever his customers want. And pictures of his work give the impression that there isn't anything he can't design out of cake. Two of our favorites: A stack of clocks for a New Year's Eve party (left) and a bust of Austin Powers for a 60's-themed event. His prices vary, depending on the size and shape of the cake. A standard round cake (for 24 guests) with some three-dimensional decorations will be about $95. But a so-called "cake sculpture" for 1,000 will be about $16,000.
