Tired of offering the same cake at an event? Here's a new kind: Favor Cakes. Chocolatier De Granvelle creates tiered structures that resemble cakes, but are made of invididual boxes shaped like slices and filled with two pieces of Belgian chocolate for guests to take with them. Boxes can be branded with a corporate logo and topped with a company tchotchke. Favor cakes can be used as to-go alternatives to pastry cakes, or as a pretty presentation of parting gifts. Cakes are sold in 25-slice tiers; prices start at $125 per tier. —Jill Musguire
