
The Modern, another creation from restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, is an elegant light-filled restaurant at the new Museum of Modern Art. Featuring a French-American menu from chef Gabriel Kreuther, the space includes the already-opened bar room (pictured) and a more formal main dining room that overlooks the museum’s Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden—and opens on February 7. The dining room seats 85 and a terrace for warmer weather will seat 45. The restaurant also has a private dining space—a room that can seat 64 guests, or be divided into two. —Mark Mavrigian
