Ben Ford—son of Harrison, a.k.a. Indiana Jones—returned to the Los Angeles dining scene (after cooking at Chadwick’s, which closed in 2002) with the February opening of Ford's Filling Station, his take on a gastro-pub that combines regional, organic ingredients with a fine dining experience. The decor mixes vintage and modern elements with exposed brick walls, cement floors, silver ductwork, leather club chairs, and dark woods. The dining room seats 70 and a large, open bar also serves food. A covered outdoor patio can accommodate as many as 35 for private events. Ford will also, upon request, cater events not held at the restaurant. —Caryl Chinn
