Aaria opened at Acqualina, a Rosewood Resort in Sunny Isles Beach in mid-May. The 3,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor restaurant is accented with refreshing tones of greens and yellows, which complement the natural lighting brought in by floor-to-ceiling windows. A water feature in the center of the room creates a relaxing dining experience for as many as 88 guests. The menu features contemporary tropical cuisine by executive chef Ted Peters, who has created varied dishes for every meal such as coriander-spiced mahi-mahi with a melted tomato pastini for lunch, or a cornmeal-crusted soft shell crab lollipop with shaved fennel citrus salad and black truffle aioli for dinner. Guests can also lounge at the 20-foot-long bar or enjoy dining alfresco out on the veranda, which has seating for 50. Aaria can host events for groups of 12 to 100 people, and Chef Peters will gladly work with clients to customize menus. Jazz songstress Nicole Henry performs nightly on the weekends and can be booked for private functions at Aaria (schedule permitting). —Vanessa Goyanes
