Photography fans and design-industry heavyweights dropped by the Pacific Design Center on Tuesday night for a private viewing of photojournalist Harry Benson’s largest retrospective. The lobby reception area displayed more than 70 iconic images, and portrait subjects ranged from Amy Winehouse and Jack Nicholson to Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra.
Guests noshed on passed smoked salmon with lemon aioli, mascarpone-cheese-and-mushroom tarts, and mini filet mignon samplers from Wolfgang Puck Catering. The Architectural Digest-hosted event kicked off Westweek, a substantial design-focused event series held at the PDC campus this week. Benson’s exhibition is now open to the public and will show through May 31.
