Fairmont group sales manager Sean McDonough

This week brought some new faces to the staff at the Fairmont Washington, D.C., a 415-room hotel in the West End.
Sean McDonough has been named group sales manager, a role in which he will be handling all short-term meetings and groups with under 35 room reservations; he reports to director of group sales Lauren Carr. McDonough comes to the Fairmont after 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
New catering manager Candace Mauerhan recently served as assistant banquet manager at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg. She has also worked in event services and catering sales for the Capital Hilton.In other news, the general managers of two Loews properties in the area switched roles this week, according to Hotels magazine. James LoBosco, manager of the Madison Hotel for the past two years, has moved to the Loews Annapolis to replace Larry Beiderman. Beiderman, in turn, is now managing the Madison.
