1. GERVAIS ON GOLDEN GLOBES: The comedian, who hosted the Golden Globes Sunday night took to his blog Tuesday to talk about the awards show. The Hollywood Reporter: '"Phew! Thank f--k that's over," he wrote above a photo of him in his tux on Sunday night surrounded by bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne. But the funny man immediately admits, "I had a blast actually. BOSTON: Five Guys Burgers and Fries will open its first Boston proper location in June or July.
CHICAGO: Hyatt Regency McCormick Place has announced that the first phase of a $110 million expansion and renovation has begun. The phase involves the construction of a new tower with 460 rooms, slated for completion in mid-2013.
The Left Bank Jewelry and Bridal Finery and CS Brides will host "Meet the Experts: Arming the Recessionista Bride" at Room 1520 Thursday. Vendors include A Perfect Event, Pure Kitchen, and Tipsycake.
The first joint fund-raiser for the Dance Collective and the Big Hearts Fun is February 23 at Grossinger City Autoplex. Called "Whole Hearted Wellness Jam 2012: Zumbathon," the event raises funds for family wellness.

New York's first gay wedding expo solidifies local industry's support for the LGBT community. "I think an event like this is important. It was great that governor Cuomo passed gay marriage in his first year of office, and events like this continue to push the point that this is a normal thing to do," nonprofit theater group producer Mark Thornton told the Guardian.

ORLANDO: The Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive will offer its "Vine & Dine" dinner series for the sixth year, beginning January 27. The wine and food pairing event can be customized for private groups. The remaining dates in 2012 are March 23, May 18, July 27, and October 26.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel has named Angel Faire national sales manager for the Midwest region, with responsibility for corporate groups from that part of the country. Faire previously worked at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort.
