To promote VH1’s 100 Most Wanted Bodies five-part special, the network paired with Self magazine—which featured a special section entitled “How’d She Get That Body?” in its March issue—and celebrated with a group of advertisers and media types at Aer Lounge. As you might draw from the title, the show details a list of 100 attractive celebs including Colin Farrell, Keira Knightley, and Jennifer Garner. Beefcake model and actor Marcus Schenkenberg (number 36) represented the beautiful people at the event, and gave tips to the crowd about staying in shape.
Match Catering and Eventstyles worked with Self promotion director Ellen Reid to decorate the lounge spaces and provide a menu of passed offerings that included chili-crusted filet of beef with wasabi cream, miniature grilled chicken clubs, panko-crusted scallops with green chili chutney, and crab cakes with Cajun remoulade.
While promoting the show was the primary reason for the event, sponsors were not left behind. Marketing efforts included a purple lounge area for contraceptive brand Yasmin—necessary for folks with hot bodies, evidently—with the company’s signature flower silk-screened on pillows. Reebok tied into the event in a couple of ways—with servers outfitted in the company’s sneakers, and guy staffers in Reebok shirts. And female staffers wore Bebe shirts.

Match Catering and Eventstyles created a purple lounge for sponsor contraceptive company Yasmin at Self magazine and VH1’s Most Wanted Bodies party at Aer Lounge.

Reebok sneakers were highlighted as part of the marketing blitz at the party, and were presented in gallery-style display cases.

Chili-crusted filet of beef was served with wasabi cream on grilled baguettes and passed around on trays that echoed the event's invitation.
