SBE expects to debut its SLS Hotels brand in October with the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. The Philippe Starck-designed property will feature 297 rooms, and seven fitness suites will include in-room equipment from Italian manufacturer Technogym.
A 4,300-square-foot ballroom will accommodate as many as 600 for receptions, and all meeting spaces will feature wireless Internet access and audiovisual capabilities. The hotel will have a total of more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.Washington, D.C. chef and James Beard award-winner José Andrés will oversee the venue’s culinary program, and he will showcase small plates, pastries, and specialty cocktails at several dining areas in the hotel’s public-lobby concept, called the Bazaar by José Andrés.
A high-end restaurant will seat 40 for dinner, and a second lobby, accessible only to hotel guests, will house a 3,280-square-foot restaurant with three private dining rooms.
