On June 19, restaurateur Osmar Nunez-Vilches opened Spot lounge on the lower level of his Sesto Senso restaurant near Dupont Circle. The narrow 2,200-square-foot space has blue-lit black walls accented by hologram-like photo murals of runway models and club dancers.
Opposite the custom-crafted wood bar topped with white acrylic, are banquettes and round gray ottomans paired with modern white acrylic cocktail tables. At the rear of the club there is a raised area for dancing and a DJ booth.
From the bar, the signature cocktail is the lychee coconut martini. Catering is provided by Sesto Senso, which has a Northern Italian menu.
The venue accommodates 160 guests and is available for full buyouts.
