GIFTS: Statuettes Resemble Recipients

This summer Bill Whidden Designs introduced Likeatures, personalized statuettes custom-made to resemble the recipient. Using closeup photos of a person's face, profile, and body, artist Tommy Stracke sculpts a statue with clay. The result? A three-dimensional, 12-inch-tall caricature that includes props or settings. Each piece takes about 40 hours to complete and can be made larger. Likeatures make fun and unique gifts for C.E.O.s and top clients, or they can be used as awards.
