Give the gift of a custom bottle of wine—minus the hassle of owning a vineyard—with the help of Carafe Wine Makers. This new Alexandria microwinery and workshop offers 22 varietals (whites and reds, with a focus on pinot noirs) and takes care of the fermentation process. Guests have the option of bottling, corking, and labeling the custom vintage themselves—making it a teambuilding option, too. Choose from preprinted labels or use your own graphics (such as a corporate logo) for a more unique gift or party favor. Personalized gift baskets are available, and a 10 percent discount applies to orders of 120 or more bottles. Carafe is open to hosting private parties.
