Could Valentine's Day be the new hot holiday in terms of corporate gifts and cards? We were surprised to find a volume of deliveries this week that—for this editor at least—actually exceeded the number during the more traditional gift-giving time in December. (It's clever, creative stuff, too: a streamer ball you unwrap to reveal little gifts and messages throughout, for instance, in addition to the array of pretty pink, red, and purple confections and balloons.)
This got us thinking: Is Valentine's Day the new popular gift-giving season? Are marketers sending gifts in February in the hopes of differentiating their messages of thanks and brand-building from the December clutter? What are you giving/sending? Tell us at [email protected]. (This should not, by the way, be taken as a solicitation for more cards and presents to be sent our way.)
