It took 24 volunteers and a whole lotta merchandise to fill the 2,000 gift bags for BMG's post-Grammy awards party. Three bag versions—for nominees (Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake), celebrities (Elvis Costello, Faye Dunaway) and V.I.P.s (execs from BMG labels)—were developed by event producer Michael Venedicto of California-based XM Style and Krupp Kommunications, with consulting help from Gotham gift bag producer Buzz Bags.
Nominees received a black Tumi satchel bag filled with fashion, style and beauty products, including a $100 gift certificate to the Acqua Beauty Bar, Francesca Guerrera makeup, Costume National's latest sunglasses, the 2003 Where to Wear guidebook and a gift certificate to furniture company West Elm. V.I.P.s got an assortment of products—DuWop eye gel, a mini bottle of Chambord, Balance bars and an Evian atomizer—in red shopping bags, while the other celebrities' goodies came in an oversized black shoulder bag from West Elm.
