Whether running an event or attending one, chances are professionals are going to want to showcase their businesses and make a lasting impression on the people they meet. But what can they do to stand out? Here’s a sample of the creative ways MOO products have been used.
Listen up, it’s time to get creative.
Create a work of art
For EyeEm’s photography festival in Berlin, postcards were used to display the work of the talented shutterbugs participating in the photography competition.
Use postcards or flyers to create visual displays or as handouts to guests. Giveaways can be used as an incentive for attendees to make a small donation to charity.
(Letter) press for delight
For HOW Design Live in Chicago, MOO set up a collection stand for people to pick up the cards they’d ordered online. MOO also gave conference delegates a little something special by bringing a lovingly restored 1960s letterpress and printing special collectible luxe postcards on the spot. People loved being able to see the skill involved and craft first-hand.
Puzzle the pieces
At France Digitale, an event that matches digital entrepreneurs with investors, MOO used Printfinity and original business cards to create a large puzzle-piece mural of the event logo. Do this at your next event using business cards provided by your guests. It’s a fun way to interact with all the attendees. Also, watch as different shapes and patterns emerge from the mishmash of cards.
Get sticky
Border-none in Germany wanted to create conference swag that wouldn’t be discarded once the event finished. Enter StickerBooks. To create these covetable gifts, attendees sent in an avatar prior to the event. Then, stickers of each guest were printed and attendees were given their own set to exchange and share with the people they met. At the end, each guest had a StickerBook full of avatars of people from the conference, which is a great way to never forget a face. Who said stickers were just for kids?
Break the ice
Turn nametag labels into fun conversation starters by including a short question that everyone has to answer. At Start Up Night in London, attendees were asked to share their favorite word; at a blogger event in Amsterdam, attendees shared a favorite blog; and at the last MOO event in Cologne, Germany, customers were asked to name their favorite superhero.
Say thank you
Nothing beats a handwritten note, especially when it’s done on luxe notecards. The team behind Kerning, a typography conference in Italy, created sets of personalized luxe postcards and sent thank you notes to their speakers. At OFFF in Barcelona, MOO invited attendees to create their own cards to send to someone who had made a real impact in their life. And at Pioneers Festival in Vienna, a post office area was created to post thank you notes.

We love to see MOO products being used a little differently, and if what we’ve seen is anything to go by, so does everyone else. So if you’re planning an upcoming event and need a little pre-event inspiration, check out our inspiration galleries.
