
To stimulate meeting attendees in the new year, appeal to all five of their senses—of touch, taste, smell, sound and sight. The W Hotels' new program turns meetings held at W properties into "sensory set-ups," rooms filled with items to engage all of the senses and promote positive thoughts. Among the props used in the meetings are signage with quotes like "Quiet...synapses firing inside," sultry music, aromatherapy scents and tasty Lemon Drops and Red Hots candies. The hotel also supplies minimalist black notepads and lead pencils for note-taking, and hands out hot towels so attendees can freshen up before meals. —Jill Musguire
