Books and Pets Draw Thousands in April

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books took over the UCLA campus on April 29 and 30, with more than 127,000 attendees browsing the booths of 350 booksellers and related retailers. Mark Flaisher produced the 11th annual affair, with rentals and tenting from Classic Party Rentals and A1 Event & Party Rentals.

Also at the end of April, America's Family Pet Expo brought 415 exhibitors and 37,000 attendees (that's almost 25 percent more than last year) to the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa for the massive 17th annual pet product show. The event was produced and managed by World Wide Pet Industry Association.
